Play game shows - be a star!

It's such fun to play game shows at home with just yourself or family and friends as company.

You can earn virtual money, pat yourself on the back for getting questions right, and groan with the audience when you lose!

Let's take a look at some of the most popular game shows to play online, inlcuding Millionaire, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud.

Where to play game shows online

Play Who Wants to be a Millionaire online
50:50 - Phone a Friend - or Ask the Audience! Ah, the magic of Millionaire strikes again with two versions of the game: the Original Game and the new Video Based Game.

The Original version gives you 30 seconds to answer each question - and confirm it as your final answer - phew!

It's just you and the questions up to a million. OK - I lost on the $16,000 question and so only took $1000 dollars prize... except that there is no real money to be won here - shame!

The Video version takes a bit more loading time, and here you choose a contestant to play against - can you match their winnings? This time round, you only have 15 seconds to answer.

Are you Smarter than a Fifth Grader?
From Fox.com, your chance to prove once and for all that you are smarter than a 5th grader! Select your teammate and category, lock in your answers, and cross your fingers.

So I chose 2nd grade Geography... peeked at my teammate's answer - and we got the answer... wrong?? So I'm not smarter than a ... hey, that ain't true!

Wheel of Fortune
Three game options here from the Sony Station site, and I'm playing the Free Quick Play version! The music swells, time to choose a name and avatar, and get spinning that wheel to fill in the letters on the board.

Play Deal or No Deal
From NBC.com, the free online version of Deal or No Deal. Will you close too early - or lose out by waiting!

Luck, strategy, risk and excitement all bundled up in a set of little briefcases. Amazing!

Play Family Feud online
"We surveyed 100 people... the survey said...!" - and off we go, with the audience oohing and ahhing at your successes and failures.

Fun questions that will really get your brain buzzing - such as "What is the biggest event in a teenager's life?" You know funnily enough, I only managed to guess one answer correctly: the first kiss. More ahhing from the audience there!

Want to play? Well, here are two places to play Family Feud - the first is a purely online version from the gamefools.com site:

Family Feud 2
Pass, play, steal and strike with over 2,000 surveys and 10,000 answers.

- and here's a downloadable version from Miniclip, called Family Feud Online Party:
