Hostile Makeover combines fashion, murder, mystery - and a good dose of hidden object investigation.

Based on the Crimes of Fashion Series by Ellen Byerrum, you can enjoy a thoroughly modern looking hidden object investigation! This online hidden object game lets you play the first "chapter" of the mystery, setting the scenes for what's to come.

Lacey Smithsonian, fashion journalist, meets Stella, DC hairdresser, to talk about an upcoming interview with Amanda Manville, supermodel.

So - head off to the cafe first, to talk to Stella and get the inside scoop on Amanda - and find the hidden objects faster than me... only took me three goes!

Stella tells us that after Amanda's extreme makeovers, including 21 plastic surgeries, her fiance disappeared.

Did Amanda murder him? Keep going with the game to meet Amanda and hear her side of the story...

In this part of the game...

... you get to meet Amanda at Snazzy Jane's, and find out that she thinks someone is trying to murder her.

To check things out further, you go to her next photoshoot where her staff think she's an attention seeker who's making the whole thing up. What happens next? Well - it is a murder mystery after all!

Hints for the game are called "Snazzy Fashion Sense" - and you can click on the lady in the circle when she's gleaming to reveal a hidden object you're unable to locate.

The clock is running, so you need to find those items fast! You get a bonus if you find the items in the order listed. And if you click too often, too quickly, the cursor will freeze.

The only thing I found a bit annoying about this game were the dialogue boxes that appeared after various items were found, which tended to distract me.
